Photo Information: Located within Belmont Park, the design for UBS Arena was inspired by iconic New York landmarks including Ebbets Field, Grand Central Terminal, Central Park and more. While the arena is made for music with a state-of-the-art sound system, great sightlines, and easy accessibility for equipment loading, it is the only metro NY arena built specifically for hockey. Input from the Islanders' GM and head coach created an arena with great sightlines, a loud intimate bowl, the largest scoreboard in New York State, two levels of high-resolutions ribbon boards, and a 23,000 sq. ft. locker room and player campus. The building also contains 8 bars with views of the ice so fans never miss a moment of action and seats 17,000 hockey enthusiasts.
